THE GREEN'S ANNUAL MEETING
10-10-17

President Larry Cooper opened the meeting at 6:40 pm. Minutes from the meeting from 2016 were read and approved.

Finances

Karol went over the Green's financial statements. Insurance rates have increased but it was strongly recommended that
we remain with the current provider. Karol estimated our yearly costs for next year but the amounts do vary from outside
factors. She explained that the reserve fund is for special projects such as roof replacement and street repairs. If anyone
would like to have monthly dues automatically deducted contact Karol for the information. There were a few questions about
the total assets of the Green's, so Karol will review them and make the necessary changes. DJ Smith made a motion to approve
the treasurer's report with the amended changes and John Mescher seconded the motion.

State of the Greens

The unit that belonged to Marge Jacobs has been sold. If anyone decides to sell, please let Larry know because he has a waiting
list of people that wish to live in the Greens.
One more roof needs to be replaced, which will be done next year. Five units had their roofs replaced this year. He also said that
our monthly dues will not go up this year.
Larry thought that the Greens looked great. The front sign was repainted, some lights were replaced with LEDs, the berms were
mulched and ash trees were treated for insects. There will also be some sidewalk repairs for better drainage on the south side.
Larry reminded people that satellite dishes need to be approved by the board and are not to be placed on the roof.
The holiday walk this year is in need of people to host an open house. It is not necessary to decorate but just get together and
enjoy a social outing.
The annual dumpster continues to be a success, so we will continue with it for the next year.
Larry thanked all the people that contribute to the success of the Greens.

General Business

George told us that the butterfly project was not a successful this year as many of the eggs did not
survive. In spite of that, ten monarch butterflies were raised and released. Phyliss also told us that
the Monarch Zone project needs volunteers to open milkweed pods to retrieve the seeds for planting next year.

Larry explained the balloting process and written ballots were handed out. Ballots were counted and the
following members were elected.

Larry Cooper- president
Brian Barnes- vice president

It was mentioned that bigger, no trespassing signs might be needed. The board will discuss that at a future
meeting. People leaving for the winter are encouraged to leave a key with a neighbor in case of emergency.

Bob Assink thanked Larry for his job as president. Kim Barnes thanked Bill Ham for all he has done for the
upkeep of the grounds and thanked Elaine Blick for the flowers. Brian told us that Bill Ham will be retiring
as grounds supervisor and thanked him for his efforts in keeping the Greens looking so nice.
