President Larry Cooper called the meeting to order.
Meeting started at 7:00 P.M. The minutes from last meeting were read and approved.
Karol said all finances are in order. Bill Nixon has all the data in the Green's website. The summer months were busy
with the roofs being replaced on two units and one more to go. Trees were also treated for Japanese Beetles. Thank you
Karol for your dedication and hard work in keeping our books accurate.
Larry Cooper addressed the sink hole that is by George's yard. We will have Fleming come out and look to see if it can be
related to the irrigation system. Once that is done we will evaluate on what should be done. There have been a lot of good
comments on the flowers in the front entrance of the Green's and the newly painted sign. Thanks to Kim Barnes for the planters
and all the helpers who watered them. Also thanks to Elaine Blick, Karol Cooper and Kim Barnes for coordinating the painting of
the sign.
Bill Ham also brought up the subject of the grounds. The grass needs to be aerated. It is thin in spots also it needs to be
power raked. It was discussed and a motion by Bob Assink was made to do the aeration this Fall and Bob Miller seconded it. The
motion passed. Brian Barnes is going to contact Greg's about the power raking. There was concern about the sprinkler system.
Bill also said there were 2 trees/bushes in the Common's area that need to be replaced. Paul Zimmerman motioned to take the
trees/bushes out and replace and Bob Miller seconded it. Bill Ham and Elaine Blick will research different types of trees/bushes
and present to the board to see what is best. There are also two pine trees in the front toward the North side that need to be
taken down. Bob Assink motioned to take the trees down and Elaine Blick seconded it. The motion passed. This motion was amended to
take the trees down and replace. The motion passed.
Larry reminded us of the Green's picnic which is on Sept. 17th. Paul and Donna will be making Turkey and dressing sandwiches.
Everyone should bring a dish to share, their drinks and table service. The picnic starts with a social hour starting at 5:00 PM
and eating around 6:00. The Green's Annual meeting will be on Oct. 10th at 6:30pm located at El Kahir Shriner's Club. Terms will
be expiring for Paul Zimmerman, Bill Nixon and Bill Ham. If you are interested in running for the board please send an email to
Donna Zimmerman, mmz111744@gmail.com.
We also need volunteers to host for the Holiday Walk which will be on Dec. 17th. We need three houses (houses do not have to be all
decorated, just need some snacks and a good time. It is more of a friendly social)
Note: If you are thinking of selling your house in the near future please contact Larry Cooper. He has a list of people who are
interested in buying in the Green's. This could save you lots of money.
Paul Zimmerman said the water will be turned off around Oct. 15th. There are some bad boxes for the irrigation system and Paul
will have them double checked with Flemings before we replace.
Elaine Blick mentioned if anyone is interested in filling out emergency contact cards and leaving them with a neighbor or two.
We do know some neighbors have keys to their neighbor's houses or garage codes but not sure if they have contact names.
Brian Barnes requested permission to widen his south deck. Paul Zimmerman made a motion to accept this request and Rosie Turnis
reconded it. The motion passed.
Elaine Blick made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Paul Zimmerman 2nd it. The motion passed and the meeting was adjourned at 8:40 PM
