Green’s Board Meeting
February 13, 2014

Members Present:
Larry Cooper- president
Brian Barnes- vice president
Karol Cooper- treasurer
Elaine Read- secretary
Board members- Rosie Turnis, Jack Read, Paul Zimmerman

Larry opened the meeting at 7:05 pm. and updated us on some Greens’ residents that had surgery or were
recovering from injuries.
Karol gave the treasurer’s report which has already been put on the website.

For Sale:
Two units are currently for sale in the Greens, units 1515 and 1522.

Snow Budget:
Larry reported that the snow budget was in good shape even with the frequent snowstorms we have had this
winter. Last winter was pretty mild in comparison.

Taxes:
The association owes about $245 dollars in federal and state taxes this year.

New Business:
The annual picnic for residents is tentatively scheduled for July 27th.
Garage sales for residents that want to have one, is scheduled for Sept. 12-13.
A dumpster is coming during the week of June 6-13 for use by residents of the Greens.
The holiday walk this past year was a success and another has been scheduled for December 14, 2014. It is
hoped that other residents will open their homes up during this time.
The board approved window replacements for Steve Black’s unit.
Lawn care contracts will be renewed with Greg’s Lawn Service. A quote from Culvers was more expensive.
Even though there are issues with any company, Brian felt that Greg’s was the best choice. The board voted to
renew the contract. A few places still need trimming and that will be done this spring.

Utility Boxes:
The board discussed some ways to improve the looks of the many utility boxes that are in the front yards of residents.
Plastic rocks that fit over the boxes are a possibility, but we should keep looking for ideas to upgrade these areas.

West end Mailboxes:
The trees around the mailboxes seem to have outlived their usefulness. The board will look at alternatives in the future.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 pm.
