Minutes from the June 6th meeting were read and approved.

State Farm Derecho claims for 1620 and 1622 were approved to pay.

Dennis Martin discussed the weeds present around his house (1664)

and the front entrance. Weed control by Cutting Edge Lawn Care seems to not be their priority. The rocked areas around residents’ homes are the responsibility of the resident to maintain this area. What happens when they are not physically able to maintain this area. A proposal to acquire someone to do this maintenance was discussed and then the resident would be able to hire this person. The problem is this is a hard position to fill, with it being a small job but we will continue to work on this.

Scott Beltran stated that the French Drain in their yard needed to be cleaned as it was plugged with leaves and debris. He has hired someone to do the work. A discussion followed as to whether this should be an association expense and decided it should be the resident’s expense.

Karol brought up the fact that one resident is continually late with their monthly dues. Mike will send this resident a letter to inform them that legal action could be taken if the dues are not brought up to date.

The trees that were damaged by the Derecho behind 1606 and 1608 are now in need of being removed. After the storm, WPM Tree Service looked at them, and decided to see how they responded. Now, one of the evergreens is leaning towards the Read’s house and the others do not look healthy and are most likely diseased. A discussion followed as to who is the owner of the trees, the association or St Andrews golf course? Bob Miller had talked to the golf course owner and told her we were wanting to remove the trees and she was fine with that and just wanted to make sure no damage to the golf course was made.

It was decided to have the board members meet at the tree site and look at the boundary stakes before voting on the removal of the trees. Linda Miller has contacted Kelly Tree Farm and Derek Groth came and walked around and noted where it would be best to plant replacement trees lost in the Derecho. He has provided a quote, and this will be discussed further by the board. We hope to get this new planting done this fall.

Karol asked for approval to hire WPM Tree Service to trim the trees this fall, and this was approved. Also, to approve the painting of trim on resident houses. She will send out a sign-up e-mail. This was approved.

The next board meeting will be September 12th.
