Present: Larry Cooper, Karol Cooper, Elaine Blick, Elaine Read, Rosie Turnis, Bob Miller, Jerry Bair,
Bob Assink, Bill Nixon, Paul Zimmerman, Donna Zimmerman, Brian Barnes
. Excused Absence: Sally Orf.
Larry Cooper called the meeting to discuss the Green's grounds and irrigation system. He wanted positive
solutions. We went around the room to see if there were any complaints.
1. Rosie said the last lawn mowing was not good. When they cut the grass, there were some areas that grass
was cut so short that the dirt was showing.
2. Jerry Bair had no complaints.
3. Paul and Donna Zimmerman had no complaints other than they could slow down especially after it has rained.
4. Elaine Blick said the mowing could be better. Slow down. She also had to replace several bushes due to the
Round up spraying.
5. Bill Nixon said they had several plants that needed replaced because of the spraying.
6. Bob Miller said they need to slow down and to be more careful cutting between the houses. If there is any
moisture in the grass between houses it tears the grass when they mow. He has put quite a bit of grass seed
over patches.
7. Brian Barnes had no complaints.
8. Elaine Read thought the crew last year did better.
9. Bob Assink said when the grass is wet they should go slower and try not to leave skid marks. He liked that
they came around in the Fall and picked up the leaves.
10. Larry and Karol Cooper had no complaints other than they should slow down.
Larry and Brian will suggest to Phyllis Anderson that she look into putting rock on the side of her house. This
would be her responsibility and would need board approval.
Larry and Brian will check with Zach from Greg's to see if some one in a supervising position can check over the
mowing after lawn is cut. They will also discuss the complaints that were received.
New mulch will be put down in areas that have it. Greg's will first pull weeds, treat it with weed killer, put new
plastic down then mulch. Greg's will then pull weeds as needed.
Jerry Bair has volunteered to receive ground complaints from residents via email and send them on to a person at
Greg's. These complaints would only be for serious issues. First, they would go to Larry and Brian to check over
then will forward to Jerry.
Irrigation System
It was discussed at an earlier meeting that our system is getting old and we will need to start up dating equipment.
1. Some rain sensors have been replaced and we will finish up this project by replacing the rest of them.
2. Replacing of the control boxes. Several of these have been replaced and we will be getting an estimate to finish
them out or do so many within the year.
3. Work with Fleming and get estimate on a system in the Common's area and the trees on the Northside. One of the
projects was to get a better system that will get water to new plantings and the trees.
4. Put more zones in the Common's area. Possibly having each berm have it's own zone.
5. Putting new taller sprinkler heads on the berms so water will be dispersed to a larger area.
6. We will be checking with Fleming's to be sure new batteries are in the rain sensors.
Paul will get with Fleming's to discuss the feasibility of items and the estimates for doing the work.
If anyone is going to be doing any landscaping or going to have a contractor doing some work, please notify Paul
Zimmerman before starting so he can check out where the sprinkler heads are.
Paul suggested that in the entrance where there is grass that it be replaced with rock. The area is rounded so water
just runs off and doesn't grow well so rock is a possible solution.
