The minutes from the April 11th meeting were read and approved.

Mike Lindeman reported that Lawyer Mike Epping had completed the revision of the rules and regulations and he has filed them with the county.

It was agreed that the dumpster was again a great success. We hope that the residents appreciate this added perk. It can be difficult to make a trip to the dump without the use of a pickup for some of our larger items we no longer need.

Effective July 1st the Greens Way dues will increase to $200 a month.  With 48 residents this will change the monthly income from $8400 to $9600. Hopefully this will keep up with the increases in our expenses. Karol reported that some people who had paid ahead for the year did send the extra money because of the increase. However, there are still a few people that continue to be late which makes it a hard task to try to collect. Please, if you read this and are one of the late payers, make an effort, like most of us, to get your monthly dues to the treasurer in a timely manner.

Since the Derecho there are still many trees gone that made our area a beautiful place to live. Linda Miller has a contact at Kelly Tree Farm, and he will stop out to look at possible replacement of some and adding some in the middle common area. If a previous tree is missing from your yard and the association replaces it, we would need your commitment to water this tree until it is firmly established. This is the only way that we can make this work. We know that a lot of people have purchased their own trees and we feel this would only help us by planting the trees to continue making the Greens a desirable place to live.

Ron Davis brought up the unsightly soil and weed areas around the fire hydrants. He suggested to not wait until fall to reseed but to purchase sod that would complete the hydrant project.

Linda Miller reported that some people are getting the corners of their driveways repaired along with some sidewalk, street and curbing repaired. This concrete work will be done by Geode Contracting.

Paul Zimmerman told us that after this year’s term he would be resigning from the irrigation position. Fleming Irrigation takes care of the maintenance, so it is mainly a job where we need someone to periodically check on the sprinkler heads and be the contact for the irrigation company. I know there must be someone out that could spare some time to help with this. We know that residents move here and may expect that all things are completely taken care of by your monthly fees, but many of these projects may need someone from the association to help things run smoothly Most people here do not want this association run by a management company which would probably make your dues even higher.

Do we want to do the annual Greens picnic again this year? It is usually held in September and the date of the 18th or the 25th were discussed.

The possible date for the annual meeting was tentatively set for Sunday October 16th.

The next board meeting will be on July 18th.
