Linda Miller read the minutes from the last meeting that was on June 17th. Those minutes were approved as read.

President Mike opened the meeting by stating that we revisit the previous recommendations of changing the condo rules and regulations. This had been proposed by the previous President Jerry Bair but was not voted on. Other items took precedent over continuing the discussion such as hail and Derecho damage.

Many of the previous rules are now outdated or no longer apply to the association.  The recommended rule changes were read by Jerry Bair and then with some changes made in the verbiage was approved by the board members. Jerry will revise and send the new rules out to the board members to review. This will be voted on by the board and then a printed copy of proposed changes will be sent to all the residents. A request will be made to vote and sign your ballot. The ballots should be returned to Linda Miller (1556(with the results being published via e-mail. Sally Orf, Elaine Read and Elaine Blick have offered to hand deliver the ballots.

Mike asked for volunteers to be the contact person for some of our contractors.

Irrigation: Paul Zimmerman

 Painting/Masonry Repairs: Karol Cooper

Lawn & Snow Contract with Cutting Edge: Bob & Linda Miller

Berm Committee: Elaine Read, Elaine Blick, Bob Assink & Karol Cooper.

Karol Cooper reported that Boomerang Corp has not quite completed the replacement of the two fire hydrants. The shut-off valves need extended up to ground level, but this should be completed soon. Boomarang will flush the hydrants every fall.

Forrest Parks has requested to purchase some bricks to place around the area where the mulch was recently put down. This request was approved.

Elaine Blick proposed that we give Jerry Bair some money to help cover some of the paper and printer ink he has purchased while working on the insurance claims. The amount of $100 was approved.

Treasurer Karol Cooper stated that we as a board should consider increasing the monthly association dues of $175.  Expenses continue to rise  and she feels that an increase would help alleviate going backwards. She will present some comparisons, and this will be discussed at the next meeting. There has not been a raise since 2010.

The next board meeting will be January 10th.

Secretary,

Linda Miller
